The record is silent for Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath. The day of rest.....even for the dead. Joseph of Arimathea placed Christ in a tomb of his own on Friday, after removing him from the cross.....couldn't have a dead man hanging on the cross on a Sabbath....it might offend God.
The disciples would likely be in hiding, fearful and disheartened, not knowing what to expect."
